Inspiring Woman - Amber Harper

           I remember the first time meeting Amber...she had just joined the AAU team that I was playing on. Dynamite 87 was our team name...and we walked around looking like little boys, but you didn't want to see us on the court!! LOL!! I remember Amber came to the team with DEFENSE!!!! We both ended up leaving the team, and then randomly ended up at McMurry University together our freshman year. I only stayed at McMurry for a year...but that didn't stop any of the fun that was had! I vividly remember going out one night with Amber and some others, and they all entrusted me to drive us to and from the club without my glasses on. I can PROMISE you that we had the Lord and ALL of our guardian angels in the car with us that night!!!!!! Over the years I have watched Amber be a complete BOSS in everything that she has done...and lately have been sooooo inspired by her courage and determination to start her own business, and completely KILL it!!!!! Hello! Hello! Hello! My name is Rebekah Oliver, and this is The R Word. Life takes us on many many twists and turns...and this my journey. Listen, the last thing that I will ever say I am, is a writer...but if 2020 showed me anything, it showed me that I'm capable of stepping out of my comfort zone, and creating a new path for myself. If I'm being completely honest, I am not sure where this Blog is going to take us, but I do know that it will consist of posts about my life, my new journey with Real Estate, and everything in between. There may be posts that make you laugh, cry, and shake your head, but hopefully it will also inspire, encourage, and uplift you as well. My goal with this blog is to inspire women, especially women of color, to believe in themselves, and step out of their comfort zones and take over the world.

So please come follow along this journey with me. Please be patient as I am just getting everything started, and have not decided on a posting schedule as of yet. Comment below (if I was able to figure out how to allow that, LOL) if there are certain things that you would like for me to write about, or you want to know about.
